John found a beautiful piece of Sugar Maple for the center section of the 3-piece neck (Honduran Mahogany/Sugar Maple/Honduran Mahogany) that was skewed just off quarter enough to display some birdseye. Here is a shot of the rough cut neck and a close up of some of the birdseye figure.
