The major scale. I wish I started there instead of just jumping into minor scale and modes. Being a metal head gave me a mental block into thinking that music in major is pop crap. Boy was I wrong, I later realized that most of my favorite songs are in major. And it’s just fundamental to know the major scale. So yeah, start there, start with the major scale.
