Default 79' Larrivee L-09 w/Upgrades - FINAL PRICE DROP $old

For your consideration is my vintage Larrivee in good cosmetic condition for its age - no cracks, previous repairs or major fret-wear but some blemishes, dings, and scratches that are mostly insignificant for a 37 year old guitar.

***Added video links with flatpicking and fingerstyle in standard tuning and drop D, also a link with the k&k through an AER compact 60.
Note the sustain, woody tone and singing overtones.

The current setup handles lights, light-mediums and mediums with flying colors. Ideal action (IMO) for fingerstyle and flatpicking alike. Spot-on intonation in standard and lowered turnings like DADGAD and open G.

Has a beautiful Sitka top that is nothing like any other Sitka I have seen, silky and creamy in some areas, extremely warm and responsive (see video link)

The back and sides are a gorgeous Indian Rosewood with coloration and grain that look like the Madagascar you see on modern guitars. Nice knots in the grain.

The nut width is 1 11/16, making it slightly thinner than modern l-09s Which have 1 3/4 nut width and slightly wider string-spacing at the saddle.

I replaced the old tuners with brand new Grover Rotomatics with Imperial buttons to match the older l-11 models Jean produced during the early 80's. Can include its original Rotomatics though which work fine.

I also installed a k&k Trinity system that sounds phenomenal plugged in. The sound is very natural and replicates the natural acoustic tone really, really well when EQ-ed properly.

When I bought this guitar it was $2000 +$150 shipping across the Canadian border. After the $400 of upgrades I'm willing to take a hit but please, no lowball offers. Asking $1700 paypalled and shipped.

It sounds full, open, and rich like a 37 year old guitar ought to and flat picks and finger picks equally well. The video is a spot-on representation of the tone and dynamic this guitar has to offer. No eq but I believe there was a smidge of reverb.

Feel free to pm me any questions. Possibly interested in trades.
Hope you enjoy what you hear!
