Tried to buy an X-braced version from a local guy who, now that I think about it, maybe didn't really want to sell. But demoing his gave me a pretty good idea about the playability of the Vintage V neck which - for me anyway - is a lot easier than was my CEO7 (may it rest easy in its buyer's hands). It doesn't have the "cheek" like the Martin does. Makes a big difference to me.
Looking for another WL-14X, found this one at a good price, so I decided to take a walk on the L-side of the street. Early returns...I'm surprised by the projection and sustain. Then again, I'm new to ladder bracing, so what did I know?
