If you end up going the new DI route, depending on what the actual problem ends up being... if your guitar has an active system (battery operated preamp w/ EQ on the guitar), consider looking at the SB-2 passive DI instead. If your guitar's preamp output is good and hot, you might not need the extra gain stage that an active DI provides.
