3 string tuning problem
Some while ago I made a cigar box guitar for my grandson (who is a fairly accomplished guitarist). I enjoyed the experience so much I have made a few more. Generally speaking they play quite well but on all of them I have the same problem. When played high on the fingerboard they sound sharp, the higher on the board the sharper they get.
They are all tuned open G (G,D,G.)
They have adjustable bridges and I have tried various string heights etc. without success.
They are all 25.5" scale with 17 frets.
I use a WFret template for fret spacing and am confident they are all accurate to +/- half a mm.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Art
