Here's what John said regarding the neck finish -
“The fade is a combo of black stained wood, black dye(translucent) and a bit of opaque black at the heel.
"Then a kiss of amber on the transition area. The black translucent doesn’t look quite as sexy as a redder dye. It made the mahogany in the barrel look a bit green. That’s why I did a bit more amber...
in the end it’s pretty cool. I do LOVE the color at the head .”
