Well, itsa secret, so let’s keep this quiet, okay?
For many years now, I’ve told the family (3 hrs south in Oregon) that I was planning to stay up here with friends.
And I told my friends I was planning (note ‘planning’ is the key word) to go down and be with the family.
Then I’d just stay home with a bowl of soup and some toast.
They all finally figured it out, and I’m not sure I fooled anyone beyond the first year.
But the soup and bread tradition continues to this day.
Oh, and I have added a pumpkin pie.. yes, the whole pie .. to the T-day menu.
