True -- that's why Yamaha, Cort, and Samick outsell Martin, Taylor, et al.

But CA was a relatively small builder. They made a few guitars a day. I think demand was sufficient to absorb their production.

I wouldn't be surprised if their demise was unrelated to demand. (I've been watching one dealer's inventory get smaller by the minute as people have been buying up the last available guitars.)

For a company to be successful, a lot of things have to go well. If something goes awry (like venture funding, a credit line, a production snafu, etc), bad things happen.
