The costs will vary a lot depending on who is doing the work. I recommend Jake Wildwood at the Wildwood flower (in Vermont), who did the neckset on my '32 National Style O. National's (especially the old ones) are inherently unstable and will almost always need help because of their design, which is more like a banjo than a guitar, with a stick running through the body.
