What's the best sounding laminate guitar you can remember hearing?
Yamaha FG 340. All laminate made in Taiwan circa 1980. Big rich sound with some nuance and quite a bit of growl.
People love the "red label" all laminate Yamahas made at Nippon Gakki Japan in the late 60s - early 70s, especially FG 180 and FG 300. I haven't played any. Don't buy them sight unseen, because most of them need neck resets.
