[Quake17]

Arrived this morning and played for the better part of 2 hours! Very impressive craftsmanship. Darker than the pics. It has a figured walnut burl and amber back and sides. Very enjoyable bass "Whomp" you get from a really good jumbo. Also, a surprise how responsive it it. It seems to respond better to a lighter touch. When I really dig in with a pick it seems to choke the sound somewhat like in a small body. Anyway, I am very happy on Day One and no buzzing as per a previous thread. I've had my Kevin Michael Sable for five years to compare and was intrigued with the jumbo body reviews. It does not feel like a 17" lower bout with the various contours.
