Probably dating myself here :-), but the "original jamman" was this one:

The one Phil Keaggy is known for, and still uses. It doesn't let you store tunes and can loop only 32 seconds (up from 8 seconds before upgrading!). The Digitech Jamman that appeared a decade or so later, is a completely different device that used the same name.
