The guy has skills all right, but I didn't care for the tone of the guitar, at all.

But I was interested enough to check him out on YT. I like this one -



He starts to burn it up pretty good around 3:00. I'm guessing the tone of the guitar is meant to be kind of harsh/bright/banjo-y, for lead playing. Having an accompanist mellows the overall sound.
