The Adamas 2080 has their Natural Weave Top, which has almost no finish on it to deaden things. That married to the Scalloped LX (modified X) bracing makes for a really balanced sounding guitar. YES it has volume. The thing about Adamas guitars is that their voice is not as familiar to some as say a dreadnought, or a 914CE. I think they sound acoustically much like a mic'd guitar running through a good tube compressor. They have more midrange, and "sparkle" in the highs, giving up that "scooped" out sound that makes the bass seem so abrupt in some guitars. Plugged in, the VIP-5 has mic models of this guitar behind some very expensive large and small diaphragm condenser mics, with I think one wood-topped model mixed in. If you set your EQ with the "Image" slider all the way down, then mix mix in the Image to taste, it is very easy to get a natural acoustic sound while plugged in. The 2080 sounds good enough to have been the basis for several Adamas custom shop jobs including a Longneck , a 12 fret slothead and this one for NAMM

If possible, you should play one for yourself to decide if you like it.
