Default A Tyrannosaurus Rex with an F-4 mandolin

I'm a great fan of the Atlas Obscura website, which features articles, recipes and travel photos from around the world. It's all contributor-based, and the results can be wondrous.

WARNING: Visiting the Atlas Obscura website can be habit-forming, and it's easy to slip down the rabbit hole only to surface hours later after going from one featured location to another (to another to another to another....)

One of the places on there that I hadn't seen previously is a privately owned dinosaur sculpture park in Uncasville, Connecticut, built and maintained by its owner and artist Jeff "Fish" Wells:

To me, it's a sign that someone who actually plays mandolin built the sculpture, because the F-4 is favored by those of us who appreciate the sweeter tones and warmer bass response of oval hole archtop mandolins. It's not a mandolin that would be likely to be chosen offhand by someone who simply had a random urge to put a mandolin in the grip of a Tyrannosaurus Rex......

Anyway, that photo made me chuckle, so I thought I'd share with you all.
