I like the grain contrast too and the Zebrawood really stands out.
I selected the Zebrawood because the colors in it match up very well with the Bastogne, Limba, spalted Tamarind, and Cedar. I am also doing the cross grain Zebrawood on the rosette and it will be used on the periphery of the top:
