Not the most exciting batch of pictures this time around, but I have been making good progress on the neck. Mortise and tenon are cut and here I'm gluing on the fingerboard extension...
What I'm really excited for is to get to work on the headstock. This one will be a slot-head and my first attempt at binding a headstock! The veneers are currently drying and by the end of tomorrow I can hopefully glue the fingerboard...
Of course, before gluing the fingerboard I actually need to make the fingerboard. I'm running a thin line of maple inside of the binding strips and in this photo I'm using small pieces of half-cut dowel to press the maple into place...
