Default Kalamazoo KM-12 N restoration Carbon fiber used

One of my Experiences with C. Fiber. I Restored a 1941 Kalamazoo KM12- N Maple body Mandolin few years back. Had a little top crack and was possibly in a house fire? Finish was bit crackled and such. Could been stored in a attic for years? I have seen this on a couple old vintage instruments in last 45 years. Took back off. Cleated the top crack. Decided to add a thin little less than 1/8” x 1/4” strip of Carbon Graphite along the Base Bar. I figured While I have back off why not!!! Many of these 80+ year old Lightly built Mandolins start ending up with sunken tops. Sounds great. Good Bark!! And ready to roll for 80 more years.
