String gauge for 0 and 000 finger picking
Can anyone help me with string gauges? I'm just wondering what you guys recommend in the way of string gauges for a single 0 and triple 0 guitar.
I have been using daddario nickel 11 52 in types of d open tunings and sometimes as far down as C. I feel that these custom lights are way to light almost wirey or thin and stringy while easy to play in some ways but difficult for rhtymical finger picking. Lacking bass.
I don't have a ton of money to experiment but what is the general opinion for these smaller guitars in open tunings for finger picking and appropriate string gauge? I was thinking of going up 2 steps to a medium gauge?
