About 10 years ago I was asked to play at a funeral for a friend of a friend. Didn't really want to do it, but always lived by the motto that "If it was important enough to be asked, it is important enough to say yes" So I played and it went well. Songs requested were the persons 2 favorite songs, Let it Be and Danny Boy. Fast forward 10 years later, and the daughter of the man I played for, who I did not know, is now my significant other and I can't imagine my life without her. And I have come to know the man I played for years ago through stories and pictures. Music is powerful and you never know where music will take you.
