This project is very meaningful and incredible one!
In the Great Depression, C.F. Martin & Co. developed ‘OM’(Orchestra Model), one of the Iconic Models in the steel-string guitar history. 11 Prototypes were built in the late 1929 and the official production began and released the guitars in 1930. Style 18, 28, 42, 45 and 45 Deluxe were listed in the lineup. However, a very limited amount of the style 40ish OMs was built due to the economic crisis. OM-42 became the most limited Pre-War OMs counted because they built only 2. We’re trying to replicate one of the originals with the owner’s permission.
Starting with another old growth BRW set from 1940s
The same spec and size as the original rosette
I can't wait to see more from B&C!
Cheers
