No sense removing all that wood, Dave. I agree. I never did like the acorn nut on my Gibson electrics. Is that what they use on the acoustics as well? I'm not sure on the neck angle, but my guess is that Dale is true to the original design.
I don't know if my neck is bound or not. I told Dale to copy JT's guitar, so I guess it would depend what JT has! I think the answer is no.
