First off, congratulations...

Honestly, no one can possibly answer whether or not a cutaway is the way to go for YOU or not. It really depends on the type of music that you play and how often you need to play material above the 12th fret. I play chords and single lines above the 12th fret regularly hence I like a cutaway. For many players it is unnecessary.
