First coats of finish. With this product that I'm using the wood looks like its oiled, deep hues and very organic. I personally prefer this over super glossy surfaces. And its very very thin too.
I can see a reason for doing glossy UV finishes but to me wood is not glossy. It never is in the forest at least. Wood is beautiful in its most simplest state. This finish justifies that and gives it a little bit of protection.
