This is my studio, I've ran it for 25 years and renovated it about 5 years ago. It's gone through a lot of changes from all analog 16 track reel to reel to ADAT's and now to a mixture of both analog and digital

What's your studio/recording space like?

a 24' x 24' building

What are your goals for recording your acoustic music?

To make it sound honest and pure. I've recorded many big projects with a lot of tracks through the years but I find the older I get I appreciate the musicality and truth of acoustic music

What kind of music do you like to play/record?

Americana, rock, singer songwriters

Is your studio space treated? How?

Broadband diffusers

What's in your mic locker?

Nueman U87, AKG 414, 2- AKG 451, 2- Sennheiser 421, AT 4041, AT 4047,Milab dc96, Sm 57's, 58's

Computer-based or standalone recorder?

Both

Guitars / Pedal / Amp?

I have an assortment of pedals a Marshall Jmp 50, Fender Concert and Bugera V22

Keyboards? Kurzweil Pc2x

Recorder? DAW? Interface? Preamp? FX? Plug-in's? Ext. HD's for storage? Monitors? Headphones? Power amp? Controller/mixer or completely ITB? Cables? Mic stands? etc. Whatever you use.

Alesis HD24xr. Cubase 7

Pre's: API 3124+, SCA N72's, Sytek Mpx-4A, Vintech Dual 72

Analog console: Jim Williams modified Soundcraft Delta

Speakers: Genelec 1030A and Genelec sub (forgot the model #)

I'm mostly ITB/Hybrid but I use the console on certain projects that benefit from that flavor.

Favorite mic pattern/placement for recording acoustic guitar?

Cardiod with 2 mics, one at the fingerboard and the other at the body

New gear you have your eye on?

My gear Gas is cured but has now been transferred to guitars

How has home recording evolved for you?

Cost. This stuff used to cost an arm and a leg lol
