I quit recording 8 years ago due to marriage, kids, etc. Now I'm getting back to recording again and trying to rebuild my home studio.

What are your goals for recording your music?
Family project, teach my kids about music, and share with family/friends/church, and have fun!

What kind of music do you like to play/record?
Christian praise & worship, contemporary Christian music, fingerstyle guitar, pop, rock, funk, jazz. I also play keyboard/piano in addition to guitars, and want to record vocals too.

Is your studio space treated? How?
Nope.

What's in your mic locker?
Audio Technica AT2020

Computer-based or standalone recorder?
Computer: an ancient PC laptop with 5-minute battery life (looking to upgrade... maybe on Father's day!)
DAW: Mixcraft, Ableton Live, Cubase

Keyboards?
Akai MPK49 MIDI Controller
Yamaha P120 Stage Piano

Guitars / Pedal / Amp?
Mayes MJ-55 (lutz/mahogany)
Voyage Air VAOM-06 (sitka/mahogany)
Taylor T3 electrics
Zoom G5 multi-effects pedal
Yamaha THR10 amp

Misc?
USB Interface: Steinberg UR22
Monitor: Yamaha THR10 amp (also doubles as USB interface when needed. This is quite a versatile little device.)

New gears you have your eye on?
Shure SM7B
Studio Projects VTB-1 tube mic preamp
A new laptop
Yamaha MX49 keyboard to replace the Akai
Zoom H4N (maybe?)
