This is really exciting: This week, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's Petrel, in conjuntion with the U.S. Navy, released the news that they had found and photographed the IJN aircraft carrier
Kaga from the Battle of Midway lying off the Midway Archpeligo. Lt. Jack "Dusty" Kleiss described the damage to front of the flight deck as looking like it was "folded like a taco" and the footage below at :007 bears this out.

In May of 1998, Robert Ballard carried out an expedition to find all five carriers (one American) sunk in the Battle of Midway. He was only able to find one, the USS Yorktown. Allen's crew are continuing the search started by Ballard. They feel that they are close to finding a second carrier.
