I'm thinking that I should have titled the thread "non-glued" rather than "bolt on", because there are quite a few designs in which deterioration in the guitar's geometry can be compensated fairly easily. One I thought of last night is the Steinberger Martins, and didn't some early American guitars have a key-adjustable neck?
