That came to mind.

FWIW, there are utility programs for cleanup but in most all cases it's this simple. You need to remove corresponding content in the ~/library folder for what you delete in the Applications folder.

In Finder use the Go menu, put ~/library in the Go To Folder command and you'll have that hidden folder.

Everyone always keep in mind that backing up is not just for truckers. Have Time Machine backups on more than one disk, and fresh ones before you do a cleanup.
