I had the same issue when living in Alaska. You are required by state law to play Johhny Horton's "
North to Alaska" at most gigs. I usually challenge the audience to start the lyrics of the second verse. If they can't they owe the band a beer.....
Nice job with "Son of a Son..." btw. I do it in a fingerpicked more "ballady" style.
