I'm not one to keep anything that doesn't work for me. That used to happen pretty quickly over a period of time when I was learning. My skills and ear were constantly progressing and demanded something to keep pace. If I didn't I wouldn't have continued pushing myself and each new guitar was part of the catalyst for that. So, I rotated a lot of guitars quickly (less than 6 months, usually) and can't say any involved regrets.
