I think presented with everything all at once, I agree my plan B is better than my plan A!

So what exactly is Tunnel 14 Redwood ?
|
A while back Bruce Petros is credited with getting some redwood to repurpose from a big beam that was used in a railroad tunnel (tunnel number 13) in CA or Oregon. Of course Redwood was used and it was a hundred plus years old. He made a series of guitars from it which were outstanding. As the tunnels were dismantled and rebuilt with steel etc. the redwood beams became available. Tunnel 14 is simply the next one down the line. They are dry and aged and make wonderful tops. Some are stained a lot like this one while some are perfectly clean. There is even a famous train robbery that occurred in tunnel 13 which added to the story. I am sure some of my details are not 100% correct, but pretty close.
