Thanks guys, lots of good info! I have a long way to go on my music theory education! I guess what I was wondering was not so much being able to identify the chords overall, but as I知 playing. For example, if I知 strumming a Beatles tune I can call out chords as I知 playing for someone else to follow along. With these more complicated fingerstyle pieces I壇 really have to stop and think about what I知 playing, and because many are only 1,2 or 3 fretted notes I知 not sure without looking it up. I think I really just have to make an effort to spend more time learning my fretboard🙂
