Do you want some authentic fun? Track down an
Epiphone Electar Zephyr amplifier from the 1930s. It looks like a big band music stand. A friend had one of these when I was young and it was really good looking. The "E" fretwork is a rarity these days.
Failing that, look up an Epiphone Electar Coronet.
Epiphone also made an Electar Century
A couple of years ago they did an 18 watt, short run 75th anniversary version. It had the same aesthetic but was a more modern amp with "pull boost" volume control.
