I also just take the rubber off

Also I took the advice from "That Pedal Show"

And use the fuzzy loop part from a heavy duty 2 in wide velcro roll
Put full width strips of the loop on the pedalboard stringers

Then use two short (2") strips, of the a dual lock (Jim mentioned )

With one strip on the top end of the back of pedal, and one on the bottom

What this does is,,,,, the pedals sit securely BUT if you go to move or replace one you can simply roll it from one side and it will come off without lifting the loop strip off the pedal board

Legend Blue = full width fuzzy part velcro ,,,, Yellow = the Dual Lock strips ,,,, Red= have the pedal span two stringers on pedalboard works great ......
