I'm currently mixing up a lot of my string sets by matching heavier wound strings with lighter trebles (11 & 15).

I have to order the 11 & 15 separately but prices range significantly:

Elixir has the anti rust
Most are plated with tin
Some aren't treated
Thomastik has some plated with brass
D'addario has its NY stuff
etc

For the carbon fibre world: are there any plain strings that you have notice that go well with your guitar?
