I'm a big fan of the Savarez Cantiga normal tension basses. I like the feeling of the alliance trebles, but there's a ping to the tone of them. Especially the 1st string.
My latest concoction is to match the Savarez Cantiga basses with the Oasis carbon treble normal tension strings.
The Oasis trebles balance quite nicely with the bass strings on both my spruce top and my cedar top guitars.
Fortunately, strings by mail (AGF sponsor) sells them separately. So my latest orders have been for Savarez Cantiga basses & Oasis carbon trebles.
