I spent weeks fretting over the fretboard contour. Guitarists all said slant it so you can use the high frets. Non-guitarist artist buddies said slant it the other way so it follows the contour of the body, from the cutaway to the waist that goes against your ribs. I've never played a fret above 12 so I went with the visual flow, but I'm sure it makes many a purist's skin crawl.
