Yes, I like to see carbon in its natural state as well. Fishing rods are great items for seeing all the weave variations...they are where I came to appreciate the qualities of it.

As the wood gets scarce and the 'wood generation' defines the market less and less, supplanted by younger and more exploratory minds, CF will become quite ubiquitous in guitars, I reckon, some decade or two from now. Expectations of what a guitar should sound like will probably evolve with it. All it takes for it to take off is a very talented person or cult group that catches the public attention using CF instruments which defines their sound. Think what Jimmy Hendrix and Hank Marvin did to the perception of the electric guitar.

One day there will be a Martin D45CF.
