The second guitar up for sale is a 1956 Gibson LG-2. This guitar is crack-free with X-braced spruce top and mahogany back and sides. I am selling this for a friend, but have had time to play the guitar. The playability is excellent with low action and zero issues up and down the straight rosewood neck. The tuners hold, the bridge is not lifting, the cream binding is secure, and everything checks out (confirmed by local luthier). This one is just a super cool vintage Gibson - worthy of a stage or a collector's guitar room. The original alligator case is even included. However, the top of the case is missing and would need to be added/restored. For this reason (and others), this one is available for local pick-up only. I apologize to any long-distance interests as I simply cannot ship this one. I have tried to picture the most overt bumps and bruises as well as the typical finish checking throughout. The price is $2800. Again I live in north east Texas.
