I have two acoustic guitar pickup setups right now:

1) An Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500MCE with a factory dual source magnetic/under saddle pickup set. I run this through a Boss AD-10 preamp to make the under saddle pickup sound more like a mic.

2) A Martin DX1 with a Skysonic FS1 (mag/mic/wireless transmitter combo) which I run without any extra processing.

Both setups sound really good. The Epiphone Shadow system with the AD-10 is really wonderful, but with the Skysonic, all I do is plug in the plug mounted receiver so it is an easier setup that still sounds almost as good.

I tend to use the Epiphone when it is my show, but the simpler mag/mic setup when it is an open mic and I don’t want to bring so much equipment.

The shadow pickup system plus the AD-10 sounds maybe larger than life, but the FS-1 sounds maybe more natural.
