Caught this interesting sculpture 'The Annunciation' by Polish sculptor Joseph Pryz on display in Durham Cathedral today.

The way the grain of the wood flows through the piece is fascinating and very striking.



Also on display is this LEGO model of the cathedral. A few cathedrals here in the UK ran a scheme whereby members of the public paid £1 for a LEGO brick to go towards the building of their own cathedrall. Durham LEGO Cathedral is the largest LEGO model built by the public and measures 3.84m x 1.53m x 1.7m high and contains 300,000 bricks, donated by visitors form 182 countries.
