Rather than poor sales, my guess would be high expenses during a period of poor cash flow. Undercapitalization has killed many good companies. You need deep pockets to make it through the rough patches.

Hate to tell you this, but internet forums are an anomaly. The demand for these guitars is not as high as forums and message boards would seem to show.
