I bought a used Anderson Hollow T Classic Rosewood in 2005. Rosewood top, Alder back, rosewood neck and fretboard. If you find one used they are significantly cheaper than the Fender version I think. I paid about $2,000 for the one pictured below. Since the alder is chambered, it's also very light.
Hijack only because OP and others might be interested, but I wonder what you've concluded about the shorter scale with the tele configuration (including sound comparisons w/regular tele). I've read you have to have humbuckers with shorter scale LPs, and you have to have longer scale on teles to get "the sound." Anderson is a high-end producer and could do anything he wanted, so I'm curious as to why he chose the short scale here. Any thoughts appreciated.
