It's the first time since the 80's when I had a Fostex 4-track recorder that I've had something for multi-track recording that wasn't more difficult to use than it was worth to me. Various DAWs and interfaces have been more complicated than I wanted any part of dealing with. I've had the Spire Studio for about a year and I've been having more fun with recording than I ever had before.
If I could change anything about it, I'd make the mixing controls and the punch-in / punch-out feature more powerful and easier to use. Other than that, I don't think I'd change a thing... I haven't even bought a mic for it - the internal condenser mic is more than good enough for my purposes... It records my acoustics very well and my voice as well as I want it to (the more obscure the better with my vocals)...
