Mine used to be good but is somehow loosing grip so it struggles with the first e-string.

I spent a long time researching what would be the best Capo for classical guitar, and in the end I found that the
NS Artist Classical Capo by D'Addario was the best capo. It allows you to dial in just the right amount of tension you need via a pressure-dial. It then has a trigger release to be able to quickly place and release the capo. It's also built to accommodate the larger neck width of a classical guitar. I don't think you'll find one better than this, in my opinion.
