Aha! I did not get it until I saw the pictures of the saw. I was thinking it was powered, but now the initial picture makes sense...you have a metal straight edge clamped down on what you are cutting at the appropriate width and using this hand held saw to run along the straight edge to make the cut. Seems like it would still be difficult to get it perfect. Thanks for explaining.
