Exactly. Theory won't make you a better
player. Only practice will do that.
Theory just helps you name what you're doing wrong.
E.g., instead of saying "I played a wrong chord there, it should have been
this shape...." you can say "I played a G13b9 when it should have been a Db7#9..."
