Yeah, it's a deer stepping its hind leg into the print left by the front leg. You can even see that the very tip of the other hoof point has moved a wee bit of sand as well, so you can make out the four tips of two hooves.
And in my neck of the woods, those prints are small. If I saw those prints this time of year, I'd say it was a fawn born in May or June of 2019. Buck tracks on my land are a lot bigger than that. Adult doe tracks are a lot bigger than that where I am. Mature buck tracks always leave a dew claw pad impression in soft ground.
If it's your land or is allowed on public land, get a game camera and see. You can get decent enough ones for $100 or less or spring for a No Glow one for $150ish. But make sure you buy locks to go with them because people live to steal them in populated areas.
